What happens after I fill in the consent form?

After you complete the consent form, you must pass it onto your dietitian, who will then complete a registration form and send it to Homecare. You will then be registered on the system and Homecare will contact you to explain the process.

   

What if I don't want the prescription ordering service?

You can still collect your prescription from your GP yourself. It will then need to be sent to Homecare, who will provide freepost envelopes.

      

What products can I get delivered through Homecare?

Homecare will only be delivering your Vitaflo products i.e. your protein substitute, Vitabite and Flavour Pac.* If you are getting any other products on prescription such as low protein bread or pasta you will need to get this through your pharmacist in the normal way - two separate prescriptions will be organised for you.

   

What if I am not at home when my delivery is due?

If you know that you will not be at home on your delivery day, please let your Homecare coordinator know in advance, and alternative arrangements can be made.
Contact your Homecare coordinator on 0800 100 1990 between 8.30am - 7.00pm Monday - Friday.

What if I run out of my product?

This should not happen, as your Homecare coordinator will assess your stock each month to ensure sufficient supplies. However if it does happen, conact Homecare immediately to arrange an urgent delivery.

What if I want to try a new flavour?

Speak to your dietitian and they will arrange for some samples to be sent to you from Vitaflo. If you then like the new flavours, let your dietitian know and they can arrange to change your prescription.

What if my prescription changes?

Your dietitian will inform your GP and Homecare and a new prescription will be arranged so there is nothing you need to do.

*Please note Vitabite and Flavour Pac can only be delivered by Homecare if you are also ordering a Vitaflo protein substitute.
