PKU and other inherited metabolic diseases form the focus and major interest of the team at Vitaflo International Limited. Established nearly 20 years ago the Vitaflo brand has steadily developed its innovative range of enteral clinical nutrition products for inherited metabolic diseases and also disease related malnutrition.

Working closely with health care professionals and patient groups, Vitaflo has harnessed the team's accumulated knowledge to produce innovative solutions to the many special problems and requirements of the individual diseases.

Compliance with diet, in the management of metabolic disease, often creates problems in maintaining a normal lifestyle. This is a particular problem for teenagers and young adults, who despite dietary restrictions, wish to enjoy a full and active social life.

Vitaflo's main focus, when developing their range of protein substitutes, was to meet the changing requirements of patients who wanted discrete and convenient products. Vitaflo therefore developed protein substitutes which fit more easily into the patient's lifestyle therefore encouraging patients to maintain their diet.

The products in the range are age and disease specific containing essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrate, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Both the powedered and liquid protein substitutes make an excellent choice for school, work or travel.
