Valine
Amino Acid Supplement is designed to assist in the dietary
management of Maple Syrup Urine Disease. |

is available
in 4g sachets each sachet providing 50mg of Valine.
To be used in conjunction with a protein substitute for Maple
Syrup Urine Disease e.g. MSUD gel or MSUD
express. Suitable for patients 12 months of age and above.

HOW
TO USE VALINE AMINO ACID SUPPLEMENT
| FOR
GEL
Pour
the contents into a beaker with a sachet of MSUD
gel or MSUD express.
Pour 30ml
(1 fl. oz) of cold water into the beaker, plus a flavour
sachet if required. |

FOR
DRINK
Pour
the contents into a beaker with a sachet of MSUD
gel or MSUD express.
Fill the beaker ½
way up wtih cold water (approx. 100ml). |

Secure
lid and shake the beaker well for 10 seconds. |

Secure

Leave
to stand for 2 minutes allowing a smooth gel to form. |

Drink
immediately. |

| Flavour
Ideas |
| To
add more variety here are a few suggestions:
The
unflavoured product can be flavoured using Vitaflo FlavourPac
sachets, available in blackcurrant, lemon, orange, raspberry
and tropical fruits.
Simply
add ½
to
1 flavour sachet to the unflavoured product and make up
as illustrated. To give a stronger fruitier flavour, permitted
cordial or fruit juice can be added to the already flavoured
product giving you a choice of taste. e.g. raspberry gel
with blackcurrant or orange gel with tropical fruits.
For
best results
the product should be freshly prepared and when possible
used immediately. However if necessary store in a refrigerator
and use within 24 hours -
re-shake
before use.
